For one of our strategic customers we are looking for a technical writer to support their engineers in documentation towards other user groups like design etc. Skill expectations: Technical writing from source code including poking holes when the written outcome does not make sense to end users. A level of technical understanding from reading technical documentation and translating that for non-technical users. I.e. Need very little hand holding. Ability to write from scratch/script to fill technical information gaps in existing documentations. Have workflow understanding Have interactivity and usability understanding of technical tools/systems Context on why; Our customers have a few initiatives underway. For the technical writer is for mid to long term improvements to Take their current technical documents which is not user friendly and very low level to a level where it can be shared outside of the engineering group. Compliment the automation work with (manual) technical writer efforts until they get to a good state of automation. 6 months to 12 month assignment depending on other factors - work priority, velocity on automation etc. Location is both onsite and remote Important to be strong in English both verbal and written
