We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Consultant to join the Data Team in Warsaw. You will be part of a highly skilled team responsible for technical management and support of a large database, including migration, application management, and sunsetting activities.

About the role

As a consultant, you will:

• Lead the sunsetting of a large database system, ensuring smooth migration to a modern data ecosystem

• Collaborate with data owners and 3rd party vendors during migration

• Guide and validate data migration processes

• Take ownership of application & database technical management (contracts, licenses, lifecycle activities)

• Act as a team member in the data engineering team, contributing to prioritized initiatives

• Support projects within Bioenergy and Carbon Capture Storage

Your skills & experience

We are looking for a consultant with:

• Strong skills in Python, SQL, and OOP

• Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)

• Solid knowledge of DevOps practices (logging, testing, monitoring, alerting in pipelines)

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)

• Strong DB administration expertise (Performance, Monitoring, Data Retention, Incident Handling)

• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn new technologies

• Minimum 2 days per week onsite at the office (no full remote)
