About you
Most importantly, you are experienced and versatile and can figure out how to make any tools or system thrown at you work in new ways.
You are prepared to drive the development of scientific applications utilizing optimization. A scientific background and/or knowledge of numerical optimization is an advantage. You are prepared to work in a focused manner on different projects.
What we will do together
We primarily need assistance on two Python projects. The first focus is calculating the optimal revue from a hydrogen facility. The second is minimizing costs of electrical infrastructure. The core numerical optimization is developed but both projects are far from feature complete. The projects use common data handling tools and users interact with a web interface.
Common tasks are:
• Desktop and web GUI / dashboard / orchestrating applications
• Handling of large data sets
• Data visualization
• Automation of user workflow
• Numerical optimization
• ... and much more
We are active in several projects so your exact tasks will depend on your skillset as well as the criticality of internal tasks.
Location
The position is based in our Gentofte or Skærbæk office but will be onboarded remotely due to the current situation.
Requirements:
Skills we are looking for:
• Python for desktop and web apps
• C#
• MATLAB
• DevOps and associated tool ecosystem (we use Azure DevOps as well as JetBrains' suite)
• Best practices in programming and software development
You are prepared to show us some of your work, e.g. your contributions to open-source projects or other examples of code that you have written / systems that you have developed.
